After about half hour of the movie, I could see the evidences that African Americans were treated unfairly. The first scene showed the school that the African Americans went to. It was small and shabby; the toilet was just a little hut with a hole in the ground. They didnt have much facilities, no school bus or not even an electric bell. Those kids had to walk for 5 to 6 miles to go to school every morning.
On the other hand, the school that the white kids went to is fancy and much bigger. They had like 30 school bus that went to every single corner of the town.
However, when the principle of the black school asked to borrow a school bus from the white, he got rejected, and the whites even teased him. This shows that the white thinks the black were not important and did not even care about the black kids.
Being a minority, I understand how that feels. I would say racism is the stupidest thing ever. You cannot dislike someone only because of their race, because they have no choice on being an asian or black. Besides, racism will only show how shallow of a person you are, there are hundreds of different race in the world, how dare you think you are the best?
